We will be working to upgrade and change this site to replace the previous nasacolab.org website which was hosted by NASA CoLab. This site will remain an independent community lead website.

If you have any ideas about content you would like to see here please let us know.

Earth Primbee has finished a new video about the NASA Future Forum that took place in San Jose (at the Tech Museum of Innovation) and in SL:

Earth Primbee made a new video about CoLab.  Check it out over at blip.tv!

Tateru Nino has written a great overview article about NASA CoLab in Second Life. The article is in the SL blog at Massively.com (which covers many virtual worlds and MMORPGs). (That blog used to be called Second Life Insider but they changed the name when they moved over to the new site.)

You’re invited to join NASA leadership, astronauts, scientists, and engineers along with local business, technology and academic leaders and local, state and federal officials discuss the role of space exploration in advancing science, engineering, technology, education and the economy that benefits your community and the nation. The program features an exciting preview of NASA’s Constellation Program – America’s return to the Moon and beyond.

I was one of a dozen avs who burned part or all of 4 hours inworld Wed March 19th while Earth Primbee shot footage for his 2nd CoLab machinama vid.  A big thanks to all those who responded to the Space Riggers’ call for volunteers!

The 2 minute rough cut is online, as is Earth’s previous CoLab machinama vid, NASA CoLab’s Second Life Mission, with over 36,000 50,000 hits at YouTube!

The March 20 Episode of Search Engine, a weekly show on CBC Radio One, starts with a segment on NASA using virtual worlds. Jeanne Holm (SL: Devery Barrymore) was interviewed by Jesse Brown. Click here to listen.
